Well, it is a timer, I'll give it that much. Fairly poorly constructed, with a very badly designed battery door. And, unfortunately, an even more poorly designed stand. With the stand open, the face of the timer is only a few degrees off vertical, making it impossible to read without picking it up. When your running around cooking up a storm, you don't have time to stop and pick up the damn timer. Not enough play in the hinge of the stand to make it worth modifying. Into the junk drawer it goes.

Worked for about 2 weeks, then LCD started to freak out, each day it gets slightly worse. I guess its still functional sorta, but at this rate I'm expecting the entire display to be dead in a week.
EDIT: the LCD contacts are via pressure, so I was able to open the case up and tighten up the screens from the circuit board to the housing to apply more pressure, which should hopefully give this a bit more life. Still wouldn't recommend buying this.

Handy little timers
I tend to buy multiples of things I like. I have three of these. They're useful and inexpensive. I keep one by my ovens, one over my stove hood vent, and one in my island drawer. Sometimes I clip one to my belt if I need to leave the kitchen while something is cooking. It beats having to listen for normal timers across the house. The only flaw I've found is that the magnet could be stronger. It doesn't take much to knock it loose.

Nigty little gadget. Good for Pomodoro
This is one of the most practical and sturdy kitchen timers out there. The only thing I don't like is that the design has changed slightly so that the digital numbers are not as bold and thick so they are not as easy to see on my desk from a slight distance. I really liked the old, fatter typeface better (that you see in the picture).
Who would think that one would make a big deal over a cheap kitchen timer, but I searched high and low to make sure I got this exact brand and style to replace my older one that got smashed. A very nifty gadget this is. The batteries last FOREVER.
This works for the Pomodoro technique because of the easy reset button. I bought two for this purpose. There is no ticking sound though.

Taylor makes good stuff.
I've never had a problem with a Taylor product and this one is no exception. I primarily use this timer when umpiring softball games. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Good fit on the case and buttons. Buttons have a positive feel and it is easy to set. On the back is a clip that also functions as a stand and it has a magnet attached there. The 3/4 inch display is easy to read. The auto reset feature us very handy for my use.
I like that it uses one AAA battery and it does work with rechargeables . No button cells for me. The one battery gets me through an entire season of use.

Poorly made in many regards, not better than a cellphone timer
This thing is fairly terrible. In an age where your phone replaces 90% of devices like this, you'd expect the company to put a little effort into making it worth wasting money on. But unfortunately, they did not. Almost immediately, the writing on the three buttons wiped away, so now it's a guessing game each time I take this out of the drawer. Also, the start/stop button has a hair trigger, so you try to press it and sometimes it gets triggered twice, so it immediately stops. So instead of focusing on whatever you're doing, in my case trying to time a pourover coffee, you have to fiddle with this thing.

Decent quality compared to the typical junk that we've become used to.
We've had one for years but after falling to the floor, the clip / magnet on the back broke off. I ordered two more, so we have a backup. The newer ones have an even louder beep. That can be good or bad, depending on how you use it. We use it in the kitchen where it is held to the fridge by the magnet. Unfortunately, the magnet design does not accommodate using it with one hand. If you try, it will likely fall from wherever it is held. That is how our original one broke. I was considering giving it 4 stars because of this design, but decided is still deserves 5 since others I've seen are totally junk.

It works wonderfully and is super easy
Bought this to have on the back side of our front door, which is my sons time out spot. It works wonderfully and is super easy. It also will automatically stop beeping after about 30 seconds, which is a nice feature. You simply use the minute and second buttons by clicking them to add time and the start/stop button to clear it off/ put it back to zero. We have ours set for timeouts and use it for one minute, counting down to zero. This is very well made and I would definitely recommend this product to a friend!

so I would recommend this for something that's not going to be used ...
We are using this at a coffee shop to time our espresso shots. So it gets used A LOT. It worked really well at first, but its starting to get a little wonky. Sometimes, the start button wont work. Other times, when you push it to turn the timer off, it starts it all over again. Worked really well at first, so I would recommend this for something that's not going to be used over 100 times a day.

Junk quality. Don’t buy!
This timer is not worth even $1. The magnet on the back is super weak and keeps falling off the fridge. The buttons on the timer don’t work well. I press “Start” and it sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. (I got it to time espresso shots, so every second matters.) This morning it fell off the fridge and the back hinge broke off. So it won’t be going back on the fridge since it can’t... into the garbage it goes!
